Master’s-Level Study
At the University of Trento, master’s students can approach quantum science and technology through physics, mathematics, computer science, materials and engineering. Q@TN does not award a separate master’s degree: students enrol in an existing UniTrento master’s programme and select relevant courses according to that programme’s study-plan rules.

Thesis projects and opportunities with partner institutions
Beyond university courses, master’s students can carry out curricular internships and thesis projects within the research laboratories of Q@TN partner institutions.
CNR-INO / Pitaevskii BEC Center
The Pitaevskii BEC Center, a joint initiative of CNR-INO and the University of Trento, offers master’s thesis projects in experimental and theoretical quantum physics, along with a suggested study track in Quantum Gases and Ultracold Atoms.
Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK)
FBK hosts curricular internships and master’s thesis projects within its research centers and clean-room facilities (Sensors & Devices Center), focusing on micro- and nanofabrication, integrated quantum photonics, quantum sensors, and superconducting devices.
Additional collaborative research and thesis opportunities are developed with researchers from INFN (TIFPA), ECT*, and CNR institutes (IFN, IMEM).
